Residency Requirement: The candidate must be a resident of the district where the Navodaya Vidyalaya is located and where the admission is being sought.

Academic Qualification: The candidate must have passed the Class 5 exam from a recognized school by the time of the selection test.

NVS Class VI Admission 2025: List of Required Documents

Photograph and Signature:
- A recent passport-sized photograph of the candidate should be uploaded.
- Candidate’s signature: A scanned copy of the candidate’s signature.
- Guardian’s signature: A scanned copy of the guardian’s signature (parent/guardian).

Aadhaar Details/Residence Certificate:
- Aadhaar Card: Candidates should upload a copy of their Aadhaar card for identity verification.
- Residence Certificate: If Aadhaar is not available, a residence certificate issued by a competent authority of the district may be uploaded as proof of residence.

Category/Reservation Certificates (If Applicable):
- Caste Certificate: If applying under the SC, ST, or OBC category, upload the Caste Certificate issued by a competent authority.
- EWS Certificate: If applying under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category, upload the EWS Certificate.
- PH (Physically Handicapped) Certificate: For candidates applying under the Physically Handicapped (PH) category, a certificate issued by a medical authority should be uploaded.

- A Study Certificate as per the format provided on Page 29 of the official notification. Candidates can print this format from the notification and get it filled by their current school authority. This certificate confirms that the candidate is currently studying in Class V and is eligible for admission to Class VI.

- A Date of Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority (like the Municipal Corporation or Gram Panchayat) should be uploaded to verify the candidate’s date of birth and ensure it falls within the eligibility range.

Any Other Supporting Documents:
- Upload any additional documents that might be required based on specific circumstances. For example, documents related to foster care, guardian details, or any special circumstances as per the school’s requirements.

School Leaving Certificate:
- If the candidate is transferring from another school, a School Leaving Certificate (SLC) may be required, especially if the child has attended school in a different district or state.
